Small catch: the standard power, performance for the graduated licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restriction kits, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output power, performance of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Key factors must be taken into account: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery. Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:

Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions function mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performance restriction occurs through the installation of specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
