Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor dealer – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated licence. Dream over? Quite the opposite, because with alpha Technik power, performances restrictions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and twice the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performances restrictions. Key factors must be taken into account here: on one hand, legal requirements such as emissions, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining the optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is required. The power, performances restriction is achieved through the installation of specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
