Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance restriction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible unaltered preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, a significant development and measurement effort is involved, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
