Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this bike HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power, performance output is too high for the graduated licence. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance restriction kits, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2kW/kg and double the original output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, there are legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance output measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining the optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
