Proudly holding the motorcycle driving licence A2, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power for a staged licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current driving licence class A2. The power, performances to weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive expertise goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Key factors must be considered here: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery, as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence.
All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is required. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle travel limiters.
