Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, the dream motorcycle spotted at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power for the graduated driving licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves a significant development and measurement effort, which is not always immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
