Proudly holding the motorcycle licence A2, the dream motorcycle spotted at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be reduced to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive know-how goes into the development of the power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be considered here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the greatest possible preservation of optimum rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driver's licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
