Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power, performance for the progressive licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances restrictions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development, as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence ordinance came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake manifold, or with throttle stops.
