Proudly holding the motorcyclelicence A2, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power for the restricted licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycledream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing to the motorcyclerider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence category. The power, performances weight of 0.2kW/kg and double the original output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one side are legal requirements such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the greatest possible unaltered preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake manifold, or with throttle stops.
