Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Slight snag: the standard power for the graduated licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance to weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, the development and measurement effort is considerable, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle stop limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle stop limiters.
