Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, having seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the series output for the graduated licence is too high. Is it all a dream? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery, as unchanged as possible.
When all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes unassuming throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
