Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, having seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated driving licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be considered here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC Directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery, as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves a high level of development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions function mechanically; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially developed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
