Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this bike HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the progressive licence is too high. Dream over? Quite the opposite, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into developing power, performances restriction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a highly complex development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no electronic intervention is required. The power, performances restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
