With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be reduced to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 license class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into developing power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directives. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving license regulation came into force in spring 2013, new license holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years.
