Proudly holding the motorcycle licence A2, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power output for the stepped licence is too high. Is it all a dream? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unaltered preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery. Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
