Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, having seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power, performance is too high for the graduated licence. Is the dream over? With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Hereby, essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the aim is to maintain optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
When all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Up to that point, a high level of development and measurement effort is required, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. alpha Technik offers due to its extensive range also today numerous 25 kW restriction kits, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
