Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 motorcycle licence, having seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 motorcycle licence. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves a high level of development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle stop limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle stop limiters.
