Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the tiered licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances restrictions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, specific conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much expertise goes into developing power, performances restriction. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is required. The power, performances restriction occurs through the installation of specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
