Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power for a graduated licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing to motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into developing power, performance reduction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust emission, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, the development and measurement effort is considerable, which isn't always immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle stop limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stop limiters.
