Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, having seen the dream motorcycle at dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated licence. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development as unchanged as possible. If all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a considerable development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle travel limiters.
