Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! One small hitch: the standard power for the tiered licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Key factors must be taken into account here: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery, as far as possible unchanged.
If all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances restriction occurs through the installation of specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake manifold, or with throttle travel limiters.
