Proudly holding the motorcycle driving licence A2, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine MUST be it! Small catch: the standard power output for the staged driving licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on the one hand, the legal regulations, such as emissions, noise and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the as-unchanged-as-possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to get by with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its wide range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
