Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, spotted the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this is the machine you MUST have! Small hitch: the standard power output is too high for the progressive access licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances restriction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more attractive for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original vehicle's output must not be exceeded.

Much expertise goes into the development of power reduction. Essential factors must be considered here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogenous power delivery, as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, the development and measurement effort is considerable, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle travel restrictors.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, novice riders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. Power reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake manifold, or with throttle travel restrictors.
