Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, spotted the dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorbikes of all power, performances classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performance reductions. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on the one hand, there are legal requirements, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery, as far as possible unchanged.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a demanding development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Thanks to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
