Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be it! Small catch: the standard power for the tiered driving licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance power restriction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Key factors must be considered here: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible unaltered preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development. When all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, there is a considerable development and measurement effort involved, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
