Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be yours! Small catch: the standard power for the stepped licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development as unchanged as possible. If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts that are not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performance restriction occurs through the installation of specially developed throttle plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
