Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, saw the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be it! Small catch: the standard power output for the stepped driving licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance power reduction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance power classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance power of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance power reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance power measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance power delivery, as unaltered as possible. If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new driving licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance power reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract or with throttle travel limiters.
