On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restriction kits, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be reduced to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence category. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Key factors must be considered: on one side are legal requirements, such as emissions, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the aim is to maintain optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, the effort involved in development and measurement technology is extensive, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
