Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, seeing the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be it! Small catch: the standard power for the stepped licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With restriction kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, there are legal requirements such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery, as far as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a high level of development and measurement effort that isn't immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is required. The power, performances restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
