Proudly holding your motorcycle licence A2, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the stepped licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 motorcycle licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series production vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining the optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions operate mechanically; no electronic intervention is required. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
