General Description

Proudly holding the motorcycle driving licence A2, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power for the stepped licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With restriction kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current driving licence class A2. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered here: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development as unchanged as possible. If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a significant development and measurement effort that isn't immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
