Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 motorcycle license, having seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Slight catch: the standard power output for the graduated license is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 motorcycle license class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reductions. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one side are the legal regulations, such as emissions, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogenous power, performance delivery.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new Driver Licensing Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new license holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 motorcycle license. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
