Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, your dream motorcycle spotted at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power, performance for the staged licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost every desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power, performance of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one side are the legal regulations, such as emissions, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC Directive. On the other side, the greatest possible unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stop limiters.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stop limiters.
