Small catch: the standard power output is too high for a restricted licence. Is the dream over? With alpha Technik restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, specific conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into developing power, performance restrictions. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary.
