Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, having seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power is too high for the graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of the power, performances restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible. If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, there is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performances restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
