Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen the dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with the alpha Technik power, performances restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Essential factors must be considered here: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust gas, noise and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development.
If all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a high development and measurement effort that isn't immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle stop limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence ordinance came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances restriction occurs through the installation of specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle stop limiters.
