Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, you’ve seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! There's a small catch: the standard power output for the graduated driving licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance restriction kits, the motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive expertise goes into the development of power, performance restriction kits. Key factors must be taken into account here: on one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust emission, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent from the sometimes unassuming restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic interventions are necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake manifold, or with throttle stops.
