Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated licence. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorbikes of all power, performances classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into developing the power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is required. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or using throttle stops.
