With restriction kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost every desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current licence class A2. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the largely unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development.
If all requirements are met, a parts expert report is prepared by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new Driving Licence Ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
