Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power is too high for the stepped licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, there are legal regulations such as exhaust, noise and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a technical report is created by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and metrological effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new driving licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its wide range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
