Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine MUST be it! Small catch: the standard power output for the progressive licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance power restriction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations, such as exhaust emission, noise and power, performance performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible unaltered preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance power delivery. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance power restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
