Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power is too high for the graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restriction kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be considered: on one side are legal requirements such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the greatest possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a considerable development and measurement effort, which isn't immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
