Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, having seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine MUST be it! Small catch: the standard power for the tiered licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, the motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of expertise goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, there is a high level of development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic interventions are necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
