Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen the dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power for the stepped licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorbikes of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be reduced to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one side are legal requirements such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side is the goal of maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a part certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a significant development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle stop limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle stop limiters.
