Proudly holding the motorcycle driving licence A2, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the stepped licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new driving licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. Power restriction occurs through the installation of specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
