Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine MUST be yours! Small catch: the standard power for the stepped licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current driving licence class A2. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much expertise goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account here: on the one hand, there are legal requirements such as exhaust, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a technical report (Teilegutachten) is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a considerable development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle limiters.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake manifold or with throttle limiters.
