Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power for the stepped licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence category. The power-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive expertise goes into the development of power reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the largely unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power delivery.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle stop limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. Power reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stop limiters.
