Proudly holding the motorcycle licence A2, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power for the stepped licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 motorcycle licence. The power, performance weight of 0.2kW/kg and twice the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development as unchanged as possible. If all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and metrological effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
