Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, spotted the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be it! Small catch: the standard power for the graduated licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence category. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance development as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its large assortment, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance restriction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract, or with throttle limiters.
