Proudly holding your motorcycle driving licence A2, having seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated driving licence is too high. Is the dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With restriction kits from alpha Technik, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the goal is to maintain the optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
When all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a demanding development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stop restrictors.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stop restrictors.
